Give an unforgettable Christmas gift

This Christmas, you can give a child the unforgettable gift of the opportunity to attend summer camp. The camp gives Armenian children the chance to get outdoors and play with other kids. With your support, children with and without disabilities can play together, receive essential physiotherapy, and build meaningful friendships.

That’s why Mission East is raising funds for a summer camp packed with over two weeks of activities.

With the support of therapists and parents, the children gain tools they can use for a lifetime. With your support, children receive essential therapy and developmental opportunities, all while learning and growing through play. And you help them form new friendships, embracing their differences.

Give children a Christmas gift they’ll never forget!

Ani has been given the childhood she was at risk of losing

Nine-year-old Ani uses a wheelchair. Last year, she took part in an inclusive summer camp.

At first, she kept her distance, simply watching the other children. It wasn’t long before the other children joined her, and they all laughed and played together. According to her mother, Ani would often wait for others to bring her into their games.

But after attending the camp, she came home full of stories about friends, songs, and games. Now, Ani is the one reaching out, inviting other children to play.

Niårige Ani er kørestolsbruger. Sidste år deltog hun i en inkluderende sommerlejr.

Arman has found his confidence again

Eleven-year-old Arman was born with cerebral palsy and uses a walking frame. His family has faced an ongoing struggle to secure the right support for him.

At a summer camp, he strengthened his legs through physiotherapy, but he was still hesitant to take part in sports. At a relay race, he stood at the starting line. ‘Arman, you can do it!’ the children shouted. Then he pushed himself forward with determination — and crossed the finish line.

But after attending the camp, he has learned that strength isn’t just about muscles — it’s also the courage to try and to keep going, even when it’s hard.

Give an unforgettable Christmas gift

Far too many children with disabilities are currently lying in unhygienic beds, hidden away across Armenia. These children aren’t getting the support they desperately need — a heartbreaking neglect. The children’s parents and grandparents often feel helpless, not knowing how to support a child who isn’t like the others.

Every child deserves to live a life with dignity! Even when life doesn’t turn out as expected. Here, we must hold on to the belief that, despite prejudice and poverty, there is still mercy to be found. You have the power to bring this act of kindness to life for Armenian children!

Mission East’s work ranges from emergency relief in crisis situations to long-term development assistance.

We walk the extra mile to reach the people we help—whether they are behind the most remote mountain range or close to a war zone. It also means that we continue our support even when the world’s attention has moved elsewhere, ensuring that the work gets fully completed.
