Mission East is a organization based on Christian values, and our values are the foundation of our work.<\/strong>
Our values serve as a compass at all levels of Mission East and guides our employees, leadership, and organizational decisions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What Are Our Values?<\/h2>\n

Honesty:<\/h3>\n

Honesty is about \u201csaying things as they are.\u201d Mission East strives to present the \u201creal picture\u201d\u2014both to the communities we serve and to our supporters and donors.
This means that we do not only share our success stories but also the less comfortable realities\u2014the obstacles and challenges we face\u2014and the lessons we learn along the way.<\/p>\n

Integrity:<\/h3>\n

Integrity goes beyond honesty; it is also about ensuring that we do things the RIGHT way.
We carry out our work in the best way possible. This means adhering to recognized quality standards and ensuring that we provide the best possible assistance.
We do not make promises we cannot keep, nor do we try to create unrealistic expectations.<\/p>\n

We have a \u2018Code of Conduct<\/a>\u2019 that outlines the behavior expected from Mission East\u2019s employees, board members, and representatives.
Our integrity also means recognizing that we can achieve little on our own\u2014we aim to support and empower local people, communities, and partners.
It is they who can create lasting change.<\/p>\n

Compassion:<\/h3>\n

Compassion is at the heart of everything we do. While we focus on maximizing every donation and delivering the best possible support to the communities we serve, it is the genuine care for others that truly drives the employees of Mission East.
When we help people impacted by crises, poverty, or marginalization, we use our heads, but we are also driven by our hearts.<\/p>\n

Compassion means that we go the extra mile, even when the task is difficult. Because we care for the people we reach out to, we do not just look for quick fixes. We work with communities to find long-term solutions and help them build resilience.<\/p>\n

Valuing the Individual:<\/h3>\n

There are many ways in which the value of the individual translates into an inclusive approach that ensures no one is forgotten.
In Mission East\u2019s vision, every individual is valued, and no one is left behind.
This means that our work often has a special focus on people who would otherwise be ignored or even harmed. Such as people with disabilities, women, and marginalized social groups.<\/p>\n

This value also means listening to individual voices; we work hard to ensure that our projects are shaped by the needs and preferences of the people we support, and we respond to complaints. It also means that we help people use their own skills to improve their lives and communities.<\/p>\n

Respect for All People:<\/h3>\n

Mission East\u2019s respect for all people means acknowledging the rights and needs of those who are at risk of being forgotten or ignored.
This often drives us to work in remote or difficult-to-reach areas where people are in need but may not receive assistance from other sources.<\/p>\n

Our commitment to the humanitarian principle of impartiality is closely linked to this value, ensuring that our aid is provided solely based on need, without any form of discrimination.
