The team also provides thematic support on water, climate and the environment, humanitarian action, inclusion, localisation, HDP nexus, advocacy and innovation. The team reports to the International Director.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>THE JOB<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The main purpose of your role<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is to increase Mission East\u2019s (MEED) grants income by leading and actively contributing to the writing process for major funding proposals. The Grant Development Lead will play a critical role in identifying opportunities and researching, developing, and writing grant proposals to institutional donors (Danish MFA, UN, EU, etc.). <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, you will provide HQ oversight and strategic coordination of a selected country partnerships, or contribute to the improvement of one of MEED\u2019s thematic areas of work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>As Grant Development Lead, your tasks<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be to:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop our outreach and funding<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Research and identify funding opportunities that align with the MEED\u2019s mission and strategic goals<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monitor and track trends and changes in grant funding and the humanitarian sector to advise and adjust strategies accordingly<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coordinate and develop relationships with funders and other stakeholders to enhance funding opportunities<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintain an overview of all grant applications, including tracking opportunities, deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Write and support applications<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Collaborate with country teams, partners and HQ programme managers to deliver major new proposals, including development of project objectives, results frameworks, theories of change, budgets, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Write, edit, and submit high-quality funding proposals and reports, ensuring they meet the funder\u2019s requirements and deadlines<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lead development and writing of multi-year proposal for strategic partnerships, e.g. to the Danish MFA<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>As Programme Manager<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, you:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oversee partner relations for country programmes including new partner selection, support to partnership agreements, and partner reviews<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support partner development plans and capacity building, and update (or develop) country strategy<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programmes in assigned country. Ensure, together with partners that programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve desired impacts<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oversee management of programme budgets and ensuring value for money.; monitor expenditures and adjust budgets as necessary to meet programmatic and financial objectives<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure timely and accurate reporting on programme progress and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure compliance with MEED policies, donor requirements and other legal requirements<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support internal and external information sharing, and contribute and review inputs for the Annual Report etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>As responsible of a theme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, you will:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contribute to the development of best practices on selected thematic priorities<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Draft and revise programmatic tools &amp; policies for the continuous improvements of programme deliveries<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participate in relevant thematic networks and working groups<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Occasionally, represent MEED to donors, networks and at external events<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>YOU<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>We expect you to<\/b> <b>have<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A master level degree in International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proven experience in grant writing, ideally within the humanitarian sector, with a proven track record of securing funding<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Familiarity with the funding landscape for humanitarian\/development aid<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong research skills and the ability to analyse and synthesize information<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience in management of donor relations and reporting<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A proven track record of successfully managing humanitarian\/development programmes and teams.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is important that you also demonstrate:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Awareness of humanitarian quality standards (Core Humanitarian Standard, SPHERE, Red Cross Code of Conduct, and others)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cross-cultural sensitivity with the ability to work with colleagues and partners with diverse skill levels, language levels and perspectives (often through remote communication)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proficiency in English &amp;
